Malicious Wounding Charges Filed In Fairfax City Machete Attack
City of Fairfax Police arrested a Fairfax County resident in connection with an Oct. 29 machete attack that injured two people.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — City of Fairfax police arrested a Fairfax County resident for wounding two acquaintances with machetes recently, according to a police release.
On Oct 29, city responded to the Patient First located at 10100 Fairfax Blvd., for the report of a malicious wounding. A preliminary investigation revealed that two victims were assaulted with machetes by two people who were known to them. The victims received injuries to their heads and hands, which were considered non-life threatening and were taken to Inova Fairfax Hospital for treatment.
On Nov. 3, police arrested 39-year-old Raul Fernando Morales Chiguela of 3327 Willow Crescent Drive #13 in Fairfax County. They charged him with two counts each of malicious wounding and malicious wounding by mob, according to police. Morales Chiguela was taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where he is being held without bond.
