Man Arrested At Fairfax City Hotel After Agreeing To Meet Minor

Fairfax City police arrested a 33-year-old New Jersey man Aug. 10 on multiple child pornography-related charges.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — A New Jersey man is facing multiple child pornography-related charges after police arrested him Aug. 10 at a Fairfax City hotel. Paul W. Ascencia, 33, of Jersey City, N.J., was at the hotel attempting to meet a 16-year-old girl he had communicated with via social media, police said.

Police went to the local hotel after receiving a tip about the meeting between Ascencia and the minor. Following Ascencia’s arrest, he was charged with three counts of production of child pornography, three counts of possession of child pornography and one count of soliciting a minor with an electronic device.

Ascencia is currently being held at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center on no bond.
