Man Accused Of Trapping People Inside A Fairfax Fitness Center Salon With Gym Equipment
Police charged a Fairfax man with abduction after they say he used gym equipment to trap several people inside a local fitness center.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — A 32-year-old Fairfax man faces multiple charges, including abduction and assault, after he used gym equipment to trap several people inside a Fairfax area fitness center early Friday morning, according to the Fairfax County Police Department's weekly crime report.
Police responded around 12:10 a.m. to the XSport Fitness located at 11220 James Swart Circle for the report of a man trapping several people inside a studio room with gym equipment.
Upon arrival, the man assault the officers, who then took him into custody. Police charged the man with abduction, two counts of assault on a law enforcement officer, obstruction of justice, and public intoxication.

The man and one of the officers were transported to a nearby hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
