Man Denied Sale Of Alcohol Takes Bottle From Fairfax Exxon: Police

A Fairfax man was arrested for taking a bottle of alcohol from a gas station store after an employee refused to sell it to him, police say.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — City of Fairfax Police arrested a man for taking a bottle of alcohol from a gas station store after an employee refused to sell it to him, according to the weekly crime report.

Around 12:15 a.m., on Aug. 24, police responded to the Exxon gas station located at 10485 Fairfax Blvd., for the report of a robbery. The person who contacted police said an unknown man went behind the counter of the store and forcefully took a bottle of alcohol after an employee refused to sell it to him. The man then placed money on the counter and left with the bottle, according to the report.

Police identified the suspect as 65-year-old James Foster of Fairfax. After obtaining a robbery warrant from the Magistrate's Office, police located Foster and took him into custody. He served with the warrant at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where he was held on a $2,000 secured bond, according to the report.
