$100K Lottery Ticket Sold at Local Grocery Store

Scratch-off game yields the top prize, says Virginia Lottery

A Manassas man won $100,000 with a scratch-off lottery ticket he bought at a Fairfax City grocery store, the Virginia Lottery announced Friday.

Francisco Barahona purchased the ticket for the lottery’s Winner Take All game at Shoppers Food Warehouse at 9622 Main St. (Route 236), in the Fair City Mall. He said he has no immediate plans for his winnings, other than helping his family, according to lottery officials.

Winner Take All (Game #1538), a “Scratcher” game, features prizes ranging from $5 up to $100,000. This is the third top prize claimed in the game, which means seven $100,000 prizes have yet to be claimed, according to the lottery.

The odds of winning the top prize are 1 in 734,400. The odds of winning any prize in Winner Take All are 1 in 4.3.
