The case began on Feb. 3, when a manager at Farrish of Fairfax, 9610 Fairfax Blvd., reported to police that on Oct. 24, a female subject had presented a check for a down payment on a vehicle. The check was subsequently returned by the bank because the account had been closed, and the subject had not responded to numerous attempts to contact her.
As the result of investigation by the police department’s Criminal Investigation Division, an arrest warrant was obtained charging Shultzaberger.
