Multiple Road Closures Thursday in Fairfax

FAIRFAX, VA — The northbound and southbound lanes of Chain Bridge Road will have alternating closures 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Wednesday from Fairfax Boulevard to Eaton Place for utility work. Motorists are urged to seek alternative routes. Also:

• The eastbound and westbound left lanes of Fairfax Boulevard will be closed 9 a.m.-3 p.m. from Chain Bridge Road to Eaton Place for utility work.
• The eastbound right lane of Main Street will be closed 9 a.m.-3 p.m. from East Street to Locust Lane for utility work.
• The left eastbound lane of Main Street will be closed 9 a.m.-3 p.m. from Oak Street to Keith Avenue for concrete work.
• The right southbound lane of University Drive will be closed 9 a.m.-3 p.m. from South Street to Armstrong Street for sidewalk installations.
• The right northbound lane of Pickett Road will be closed 9 a.m.-3 p.m. from the top entrance of Silver King Court to the lower entrance for utility work.
• The right northbound lane of East Street will be closed 9 a.m.-3 p.m. from Sager Avenue to Main Street for utility work.
