Multiple Road Projects, Closures Monday in Fairfax

All six projects should be wrapped up by 3 p.m.

FAIRFAX, VA — The right southbound lane of University Drive will be closed 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday from South Street to Armstrong Street for sidewalk installations. Also:

  • The sidewalk section in front of the Fairfax County Library will be closed 7 a.m.-3 p.m. between Old Lee Highway and University Drive for brick repairs. Crosswalks at the intersection will remain open.
  • The left eastbound and westbound lanes of Fairfax Boulevard will be closed 9 a.m.-3 p.m. from Chain Bridge Road to Eaton Place for utility work.
  • The northbound and southbound lanes of Chain Bridge Road will have alternating closures from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. from Fairfax Boulevard to Eaton Place for utility work. Motorists are advised to seek alternative routes.
  • The right lane of East Street will be closed 9 a.m.-3 p.m. from Sager Avenue to Main Street for utility work.
  • The right northbound lane of Pickett Road will be closed 9 a.m.-3 p.m. from the top entrance of Silver King Court to the lower entrance for utility work.
