National Night Out Returns To Fairfax City In August
City of Fairfax Police invite residents to get outside and host an event in their neighborhood to promote public safety awareness.
FAIRFAX CITY, VA — City of Fairfax Police are inviting community members to take part in National Night Out on Tuesday, Aug. 3, from 6-9 p.m.
Each year, neighborhoods and law enforcement departments from around the country gather together on the first Tuesday in August to promote public safety.
National Night Out is also an opportunity for residents to get outside and host events, where they can meet their neighbors and learn from local law enforcement representatives how to make their neighborhood safer. Past events have included block parties, music, ice cream socials, and other activities.

City police officers will be divided up into teams and will visit registered neighborhoods throughout the night. Neighborhoods who wish to participate may call 703-385-7957 or send an email.
