New Year's Eve Forecast for Fairfax

We’ve had a few days of mild temperatures, but the ball won’t be the only thing dropping with the new year. If you’ve got plans, they better be inside!

Temperatures in the region are expected to be well-below freezing by midnight on Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.

Highs Wednesday will be in the mid- to upper-30s, with sunny skies. But temperatures will drop swiftly after dark to the mid-20s, with a wind chill in the teens.

Sunny skies return on Thursday, but it will stay cool, with a high at 39 degrees and even a chance for a little bit of snow in the forecast Friday night.
