New Year's Holiday 2017 in Fairfax: What's Open, What's Closed
Because of where the holiday falls on the calendar, first-of-the-week schedules have been altered in the City of Fairfax.
FAIRFAX, VA — Here's the rundown of government closings in the city for the New Year's holiday:
Jan. 1 (Sunday):
- CUE Bus — no service
- Fairfax Museum & Visitor Center — closed.
Jan. 2 (Monday):

- Government offices — closed.
- General District Court — closed.
- CUE Bus — modified weekday schedule.
- Fairfax Museum & Visitor Center — open.
- Refuse and Recycling — not collected, Monday and Tuesday routes collected Wednesday.
