The Next Two Chances for Snow

Area residents are digging out today after the overnight snowstorm, but more snow is possible later this week, according to the National Weather Service.

Here’s the forecast for Thursday and Sunday for the area:

• Thursday: A chance of rain and snow after 1 p.m. Cloudy, with a high near 36. Light southeast wind becoming south 5 to 10 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.
  
• Thursday Night: A slight chance of rain and snow before 1 a.m. Mostly cloudy with a low around 30. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
  
• Sunday: A chance of rain. Mostly cloudy with a high near 34. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.
• Sunday Night: A chance of rain and snow. Mostly cloudy with a low around 27. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent.
