A welcome run of spring-like weather should continue through the week, according to the National Weather Service; showers possible Tuesday.

STERLING, VA — Six more weeks of winter, Mr. Groundhog? Sure isn't shaping up that way, according to the area arm of the National Weather Service, which predicts more mildness on the landscape.
Following two days of mostly sun and highs near 70, the week ahead begins with a slight cool-down Monday but still with lots of sunshine.
Tuesday offers a slight chance of rain but Wednesday is expected to feature sun and highs near 70.
