Northern Virginia Weather: Work Week Forecast

Weather for the week ahead in Northern Virginia probably won't elicit many groans, according to the local National Weather Service branch.

STERLING, VA — How's this for the first day of the week? Sunny with highs flirting with the 80s. After that, rinse and repeat for Tuesday, according to the area arm of the National Weather Service.

Based on the way things look now, Wednesday should be the only true down note of the week, with mostly cloudy skies and a slight chance of showers.

Things should cool off a bit toward the end of the week — but not by much. This is expected to be a stretch that most definitely feels like spring.
