Weather conditions in Northern Virginia Thursday, according to the area branch of the National Service, are expected to be, well, yucky.

There's a pretty good chance of showers tonight, with possible thunderstorms included on the agenda. And then comes Thursday and its 100 percent chance of rain.

Here's the latest NWS forecast for the Northern Virginia area:
Tonight: A slight chance of showers before midnight, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms between midnight and 3am, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 3am. Low around 54. Southeast wind 8 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Thursday: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds. High near 67. Southeast wind 9 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.
Thursday Night: A slight chance of showers before 11pm, then a slight chance of showers after 3am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 43. Southwest wind 10 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Friday: A chance of showers, mainly after 9am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 52. West wind 11 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 31 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Friday Night: A chance of showers before 9pm. Patchy frost after 3am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 35. Northwest wind 11 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Saturday: Patchy frost before 9am. Otherwise, sunny, with a high near 57.
