Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at George Mason University Welcomes You To Fall Term 2016, Registration Begins Aug. 16

Stimulating and diverse intellectual, social and cultural experiences, including nearly 140 daytime courses and special events.

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) would love for you to be part of its exciting fall term 2016 activities (Sept. 19 - Nov. 11). Founded in 1991, OLLI is a volunteer-driven, thousand-plus member nonprofit affiliated with Mason, but independently funded and managed. OLLI is open to anybody who loves to learn (there are no age requirements). OLLI classes, created by members for members, are taught by Washington newsmakers, university professors, outside experts and members themselves. OLLI classes are fun, convenient and brief: They’re generally held only on weekdays between mid-morning and mid-afternoon, with no homework, exams or grades – just learning for the pure joy of learning. And it’s not just classes: OLLI activities take place in a warm and welcoming social atmosphere, with plenty of parties, concerts and local and national trips, plus 22 “niche,” special interest clubs where you can make friends with people who share your interests. OLLI members also receive a Mason ID card, allowing them library privileges and discounts at many campus facilities. As we say at OLLI, “Lifelong Learning Has Never Been So Much Fun.” Classes are held in Fairfax (adjacent to Mason campus at 4210 Roberts Road between Braddock and Main Street), Reston, and eastern Loudoun County in Sterling (all three are handicapped-accessible with free parking). Fall term registration begins Aug. 16; for more information, call 703-503-3384, email olli@gmu.edu, or visit our website at www.olli.gmu.edu To get a feel for OLLI, we welcome you to sample us with two free class visits.
