Parts of Lee Highway, Main Street Closed Friday in Fairfax
The work has to do with sewer line repairs and storm drain maintenance, and the activity should be wrapped up by 4 p.m., say city officials.

FAIRFAX, VA — The westbound left lane of Main Street will be closed 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Friday from Whitacre Road to Burke Station Road for storm-drain flushing. Meanwhile, the right lane will be closed from Burke Station Road to East Street.
Also, the center and right lanes of Lee Highway (Route 129) will be closed from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. from Blake Lane to Fairfax Circle for emergency sewer line repairs. Motorists are urged to use alternate routes.
