Parts of Oak Street Closed Monday in Fairfax

Emergency utility work is the culprit. Also, Parts of Fairfax Boulevard will be closed for road work, according to city officials.

FAIRFAX, VA — Alternating lane closures will be in effect 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday on Oak Street from 1st Street to 2nd Street for emergency utility work. Motorists are urged to avoid the area if possible.

Also, the westbound left lane of Fairfax Boulevard will be closed 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. from Chain Bridge Road to Farr Avenue for road work.
