Parts of Sager Avenue, Main Street Closed Monday in Fairfax

Most of the work is expected to be wrapped up by 3 p.m.

FAIRFAX, VA — The eastbound lane of Sager Avenue will be closed Monday from University Drive to East/South Streets for utility work. East Street will be closed from Sager Avenue to Lexington Court. Motorists on westbound Sager Avenue will not be able to turn left onto South Street. All buildings and businesses will be accessible from University Drive, South Street and Sager Avenue. Also:

  • The westbound left lane of Main Street will be closed 9 a.m.-3 p.m. from Tedrich Boulevard to Roberts Road for utility work.
  • Part of Maple Avenue will be closed from 9 a.m. 3 p.m. approximately 200-300 back from Main Street. Motorists are advised to use alternates routes of Chestnut or Poplar.
  • The northbound right lane of Pickett Road will be closed 9 a.m.-3 p.m. from the top entrance to Silver King Court to the lower entrance for utility work.
