As part of its Bold Invitation initiative, the Peace Corps is visiting GMU's Fairfax campus on Tuesday to recruit potential volunteers.

FAIRFAX, VA — Peace Corps representatives will be making a five-stop tour of the East Coast in September, looking to recruit and deploy thousands of volunteers over the next year. One of those stops is in Fairfax.

The Peace Corps will be hosting an information and recruiting event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., on Tuesday, in the Student Union Quad at George Mason University's Fairfax campus.

Recruiters are looking for "motivated changemakers to advance the agency’s mission to spread world peace and friendship through international service," according to a Peace Corps release.
