Pedestrian Killed on Braddock Road in Fairfax Area: Police
Incident took place Thursday night, according to police.

Fairfax County police are investigating a fatal pedestrian crash that occurred Thursday night on Braddock Road, just west of Twinbrook Drive (see Google map below).
Detectives with the Crash Reconstruction Unit determined a 71-year-old man was driving a 2004 BMW westbound on Braddock Road in the left through-lane when a man walked in front of the moving vehicle and was struck, police said.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

The driver remained at the accident location, police said. Alcohol may have been a factor for the pedestrian, according to police.
The identity of the deceased 37-year-old man is being withheld pending the notification of family members. This investigation is ongoing.
