Photos: Bank Robbed At Gunpoint In Fairfax City; Police Seek Suspect
City of Fairfax Police released surveillance photos of a man they say robbed the Sandy Spring Bank at 9910 Main St. on Saturday morning.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — City of Fairfax Police are asking the public's help in identifying a man who robbed a city bank at gunpoint on Saturday morning, according to a police release.
On Monday, police released surveillance photos of the suspect who around 11:50 a.m., on Saturday, entered the Sandy Spring Bank located at 9910 Main St. He then handed the teller a Gucci handbag with a note instructing them to fill the bag with currency and showed that he had a handgun. The man then left the bank on foot.
Police are asking anyone who has information about this incident or recognizes the man in the photos to contact Detective Ryan Foster of the Criminal Investigation Division by calling 703-385-7848 or emailing Ryan.Foster@Fairfaxva.gov.
