Place second in Patriot District gymnastics meet.

W.T. Woodson gymnasts took second place at the Patriot District meet at Lake Braddock Secondary School on Feb. 3 and advance to the Northern Region Competition.

Lake Braddock placed first, West Potomac third, Lee fourth, West Springfield fifth, and Annandale sixth. The top two teams from each district go to regionals, scheduled to be held at Lake Braddock Secondary School on Feb. 10.

The school also saw stunning individual performances from Rachel Talento, who placed fifth in the all-around competition, sixth in bars, seventh in vault and eighth in floor. Teammate Annie Guidry placed eighth in all-around and fifth in Bars; Shelly Morse placed seventh in beam and eighth in bars; and Kara Urban placed sixth in floor.
