Pipe Maintenance Thursday Could Snarl Traffic in Fairfax City

The City of Fairfax warns drivers that there could be some traffic backups Thursday due to some pipe maintenance in the area.

From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., a sewer crew will be performing regular sewer pipe maintenance on several roads throughout the city:

• Route 123
• Main Street
• Fairfax Boulevard
• Old Lee Highway

A small work zone will be set up at each location at a time, and traffic devices will direct traffic around it, according to the City.
