Police: Armed Robbery at Shell Gas Station

Suspect pulled handgun on cashier, demanded cash in evening incident, according to Fairfax City Police.

Fairfax City Police is investigating a robbery at the Shell Gas Station at 11175 Lee Highway.

Officers say an employee reported the incident at 7:34 p.m. Wednesday. An unknown male subject walked behind the county, produced a handgun and demanded money from the register, according to a police release.

The employee surrendered an undisclosed amount of cash and the suspect fled the area on foot. The employee was not injured.

The victim described the suspect as a white male, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, clean shaven, with a thin build, wearing a dark-colored hooded jacket.

The Criminal Investigations Division is investigating the case.
