Police Bulletin: Auto Shop Reports Theft

And two vandalism reports Wednesday, according to Fairfax City Police.

A Fairfax repair shop reported a theft this week, according to the latest daily bulletin from the City of Fairfax Police.

An employee at Pope’s Auto Body Repair, 3163 Draper Drive, reported the theft at Monday afternoon. An unknown person had stolen a paint spray gun from a cabinet sometime after 2 p.m. Saturday.

  • Vandalism: 3800 Block of Haynesworth Place – On January 14 at 7:29 AM the resident reported that sometime after 11:00 PM on January 13 unknown person(s) had damaged the doorknob on the front door of the home.
  • Vandalism: 10620 Fairfax Boulevard / DAR Cars – On January 14 at 1:11 PM a manager reported that sometime between January 3 and January 12 unknown person(s) had shattered a window on a vehicle parked in the rear lot of the dealership.
  • Fraud: 4300 Block of Excelsior Place – On January 14 at 3:55 PM the resident reported that on January 3 a check which had been stolen from his checkbook had been fraudulently filled out and cashed. The Patrol Division is investigating the case.
