Police Report Brick Thrown Through Restaurant Window

Also in latest police report, a resident reports her wallet was stolen from her purse in store shopping cart.

Here’s a look at the most recent incidents reported by the Fairfax City Police department’s crime report, released Monday:

  • Credit Card Theft: 9570 Main Street / Ross Department Store – On September 17 at 6:21 PM the victim reported that sometime after 5:30 PM unknown person(s) had stolen her wallet from her purse which was in a shopping cart. The wallet contained cash, identification and credit cards which subsequently were used to make unauthorized purchases.
  • Larceny from Vehicle: Main Street / Noodles & Company Parking Lot – On September 17 at 8:35 PM the victim reported that two bags containing assorted items had been stolen from a parked vehicle sometime after 7:30 PM by unknown person(s).
  • DUI Arrest: 10300 Block of Main Street – On September 18 at 1:29 AM an officer who had initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for an illegal turn determined that the driver was intoxicated. Miguel Chumpitaz, 26, of 5820 Parakeet Drive, Burke, was transported to the Adult Detention Center where he was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and his bond was set at $3000.
  • DUI Arrest: Pickett Road / Fairfax Boulevard – On September 18 at 2:44 AM an officer who conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for stopping in the intersection determined that the driver was intoxicated. Linh My Bui, 21, of 9674 Lindenbrook Street, Fairfax, was transported to the Adult Detention Center where she was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and refusal of blood/breath test.
  • Larceny: 3500 Block of Cornell Road – On September 19 at 9:40 AM the resident reported that sometime after 7:00 AM on September 16 unknown person(s) had stolen his wallet from a box in the garage. The wallet contained cash, credit cards and identification.
  • Vandalism: 4100 Block of Maple Street - On September 20 at 6:32 PM the vehicle owner reported that sometime between 11:00 PM on September 19 and 9:00 AM on September 20 unknown person(s) had damaged a side mirror on her parked vehicle.
  • Vandalism: 10940 Fairfax Boulevard / Five Guys Burgers and Fries – On September 20 at 10:49 PM an employee reported that an unknown male subject had broken a front window of the business by throwing a brick at it.
