Possible Explosive Device Reported At Kings Park West Home Identified As Inert

FAIRFAX, VA — Fairfax County Police's Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit determined that the explosive device reported Saturday night at home in Kings Park West was inert.

Earlier in the evening, the EOD Unit responded for the report of a possible explosive device at 4900 block of Heversham Court.

At first, the public was warned to avoid the area while the threat was being investigated. But the EOD Unit determined that there was no longer an apparent threat to the public, according to police.
