Prescription Drug Take Back Event Planned In Fairfax City

Prescription drug take-back day is planned Oct. 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the City of Fairfax Police headquarters.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — The City of Fairfax Police Department will team up with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration this weekend to provide residents with a safe and legal way to dispose of unused or expired prescription medications.

A prescription drug take-back event is planned Oct. 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at City of Fairfax Police headquarters, 3730 Old Lee Hwy. in Fairfax

Prescription and over-the-counter solid-dosage medications (i.e. tablets and capsules) will be accepted. Intravenous solutions, injectables and needles will not be accepted. Illicit substances such as marijuana or methamphetamine will also not be accepted during the event.
