The Recycling Center at the City of Fairfax Property Yard will close permanently, effective April 3.

The center is closing due to multiple challenges regarding operation. The city has incurred increased costs for single-stream recycling services due to the declining recycling market, as well as persistent illegal dumping at the site.

City residents are invited to use, at no cost, two Fairfax County facilities:
