Resident Hears Intruder in Kitchen, Calls 9-1-1 from Neighbor's: Police

Incident took place Friday morning, according to police.

Fairfax County Police say that a local resident heard a noise in his kitchen last Friday and called police from his neighbor’s house.

The incident took place Friday at about 11 a.m., in the 4500 block of Herend Place (see map), according to police.

A resident was alerted to noises from his kitchen, and called police from his neighbor’s residence, according to police. The victim returned to the residence and saw a man running from the rear door, police said. Police said that property was taken from the home.

The victim did not need any medical attention, according to police.

The suspect was described by police as a black man in his 20s, approximately 6 feet tall, 170 pounds and wearing a white T-shirt and black pants.
