Knife Fights At Hooters, Cafe Bring Arrests In Fairfax
Two people were arrested early Tuesday for their roles in two assaults at area eateries that included a knife, according to Fairfax Police.

FAIRFAX, VA — Two people were arrested early Tuesday for their roles in two assaults at area eateries that included a knife, according to Fairfax Police. Dominic Lawrence Blakeney, 29, of the 15200 block of Colony Place, was charged with malicious wounding, assault and battery and destruction of property. Peter Vladislavovich Baturenko, 41, of the 7200 block of Swan Point Way in Columbia, Maryland, was charged with accessory to malicious wounding and being drunk in public. Both are being held without bond.
Around 11:45 p.m., the manger of the Epicure Cafe at 11104 Lee Highway told police a man flashed a knife and struck him and damaged his cell phone during an argument before fleeing. About 20 minutes later, police responded to the Hooters at 10060 Fairfax Boulevard where the same man and a a male accomplice assaulted an 18-year-old Springfield man. Their attempt to flee was thwarted by police.
