Reston College Students Honored For Academic Achievements
Patch highlights the academic achievements of college students from the Reston area.

RESTON, VA — To shine a light on the academic achievements of college students from the Reston area, Patch shares information provided by the students' families and Merit News.
Omicron Delta Kappa, the National Leadership Honor Society, welcomed 1,971 new initiates from 78 universities during April 2022. Among the new initiates were:
- Taylor Hannam-Zatz of Reston - Ohio Northern University
- Emily Fritz of Reston - Randolph-Macon College
To be initiated into Omicron Delta Kappa, sophomore, junior and senior students must be in the top 35 percent of their class and demonstrate leadership experience in at least one of the society's five pillars, and embrace ODK's ideals.

The following students were named to the spring 2022 president's list at Shenandoah University Winchester, Virginia:
- Cristina Tonetti of Reston
- Karisa Chaichana of Reston
- Isabelle Roy of Reston
To be named to the president's list at SU, a student must complete at least 12 credit hours for the semester and earn at least a 3.90 GPA.

Edward Leggett of Reston was recognized with Lehigh University's Athletic Department's Distinguished Achievement Award, which is given to graduating student-athletes with high levels of toughness, competitiveness, and scholarship. Leggett graduated with a master of engineering degree with a major in healthcare systems engineering.
Mary Kugler of Reston was named to the spring 2022 dean's list at the University of Rhode Island in Kingston, Rhode Island. To be named to the URI dean's list, full-time students must complete 12 or more credit hours for the semester and earn at least a 3.3 grade point average.
The following students were named to the dean's list for the spring 2022 semester at the University of Delaware at Newark, Delaware:
- Madison Phillips of Reston
- Logan Kruse of Reston
- Ryan van Hilst of Reston
- Sarah Batt of Reston
To be named to the dean's list, a student must be enrolled full-time and earn a GPA of 3.5 or above for the semester.
Emily Marik of Reston was named to the spring 2022 dean's list at Washington College, in Chestertown, Maryland. In order to earn this academic honor, a student must achieve at least a 3.50 GPA for the semester.
Nicole Moravitz, a communication major from Reston, was among the 1,200 students who participated in May 6-7 commencement ceremonies at Coastal Carolina University in Conway, South Carolina.
Chinonye Tagbo of Reston graduated with a MBA Healthcare Concentration from Ohio University's College of Business in spring 2022.

Jordan Lee of Reston was named to the dean's list for the spring 2022 semester at Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois. To be named to the dean's list, an undergraduate student must carry 12 or more credit hours and achieve grade point average of 3.5 or higher on the 4.0 scale for the semester.
The following student-athletes were named to the athletic director's honors list for the spring 2022 semester at Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia:

To be named to the honor's list, student-athlete must have a semester GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Alexander R Moran of Reston was named to the spring 2022 dean's list at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah. Moran, whose major is listed as games BS, was among more than 8,900 students named to the list. To qualify, students must earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher in at least 12 graded credit hours during any one term.
