Rita’s In Fairfax Adds New Mermaid Italian Ice Flavor For Summer
Rita's in Fairfax is serving Mermaid Italian Ice, a berry-marshmallow flavor topped with Unicorn Glitter.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — Rita’s Italian Ice & Frozen Custard in Fairfax is offering a new summer flavor with a bit of sparkle.
Mermaid Italian Ice, a bright pink flavor combining berry and marshmallow, is available at Rita’s locations nationwide from Monday, June 15, through Sunday, July 19. The flavor is topped with Unicorn Glitter and is being promoted as a summer treat for children and families.
Fairfax customers can find the new flavor at Rita’s, 10726 Fairfax Blvd.

The new Italian ice is also available in two specialty items. The Mermaid Gelati layers Mermaid Italian Ice with Rita’s Vanilla Frozen Custard and is topped with Unicorn Glitter. The Mermaid Ice Blender turns the berry-marshmallow Italian ice into a frozen drink, also finished with Unicorn Glitter.

Rita’s signature Italian Ice is made fresh daily on-site and offered in a rotating selection from more than 80 flavors. The menu also includes Frozen Custard, Gelati, Concretes, Frozen Coffee, Blendinis, milkshakes and other frozen treats.
Customers can also use the Rita’s Ice app to earn rewards. New loyalty members can receive one free small Ice, Custard or Gelati after signing up, according to the company.
