Robbery Charge Levied Against 21-Year-Old Fairfax City Man: Police
City of Fairfax Police arrested a 21-year-old city resident they say stole a cellphone and electric scooter on Thursday.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — A 21-year-old Fairfax City man was arrested in connection to a robbery at a city restaurant on Wednesday.
City of Fairfax Police officers responded to the Dunkin Donuts at 10020 Main St. for the report of a robbery. A preliminary investigation determined that the suspect punched the victim and stole his electric scooter and cellphone. He then fled the area. The victim received minor injuries, according to police.
Investigators identified the suspect as Joseph Gaide of the 10000 block of Laurie Place in Fairfax, according to police. They also determined that Gaide was wanted on a warrant out of Fairfax County for petit larceny.

A short time later, officers arrested Gaide and took him to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. He was then charged with robbery and served with the petit larceny warrant from the county. He was then held without bond at the ADC.
Gaide is due back in court on Dec. 15 for an initial hearing, according to Fairfax City General District Court records.
