FAIRFAX CITY, VA —Motorists in who usually travel along Roberts Road in Fairfax will have to find an alternate route next week as the road will be closed for several days so that the city's public works department can repair sewers.

Roberts Road will be closed from Main Street to Dwight Avenue on Tuesday, Oct. 19 through Thursday, Oct. 21, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Local residents will still be able to access the area from the Dwight Avenue area. Flagmen positioned at both ends of the closure will direct local residents and delivery drivers to homes within the closed area. The public is asked to drive slowly and follow the direction of the flagmen.
