Annual Santa Ride Crosses Fairfax County Tuesday To Pick Up Donated Toys For Kids In Need

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — Santa rode his motorcycle into the parking lot of the Fairfax City Police Department's headquarters just before 8 a.m. on Tuesday. He was joined by about 40 motorcycle officers who'd come to escort him on the 2021 Santa Ride

Each year, the Fairfax County Police Department and other local jurisdictions collect toys during the holiday season for children in need, as well as those staying in area hospitals over the holidays. As in other years, the annual toy collection is capped off with Santa riding his motorcycle to various locations round the county to pick up the donated toys.

This year's ride left the City of Fairfax around 8:15 a.m. on Tuesday. The motorcade escort included officers from the Fairfax County Police and Sheriff's Office, the Virginia State Police, the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police, and officers from the Falls Church, Herndon and Vienna police departments.

The ride should take all day and will include stops at the following locations:
