Skimming Device Found At Bank ATM In Fairfax: Police

Authorities are looking for a man who placed a skimming device on an ATM machine Sunday at a Navy Federal Credit Union in Fairfax: Police.

FAIRFAX, VA—Authorities are looking for a man who placed a skimming device on an ATM machine Sunday morning at a Navy Federal Credit Union at 11180 Lee Highway, according to Fairfax City Police. He's described as white, wearing a black ball cap, black jacket, white pants and black Nike Shoes.

Mechanical safeguards prevented the skimming device from taking any information from customers, according to a security team employee. The employee said the skimmer was placed on the ATM at 8:41 a.m., after which the ATM automatically shut down. Anyone with information is urged to call 703-385-7924.

3900 Block of University Drive – On April 13 at 7:22 AM an employee reported that between April 11 - April 13 unknown person(s) wrote graffiti in the parking garage. The Field Operation Division is investigating the case.

3200 Block of Old Lee Highway– On April 14 at 7:42 PM the victim, a 22 year old Alexandria area man, reported that while he was sitting in a vehicle with some friends in a parking lot an unknown male subject approached, engaged in some conversation and then punched the victim in the face. The suspect left on foot from the area. The victim refused medical treatment. The Field Operation Division is investigating the case.
