Spotlight on the Arts Festival 2017 in Fairfax

Celebrate music, art and dance at the Spotlight on the Arts Festival, which happens to be the 32nd annual edition. It begins Friday.

FAIRFAX, VA — Three decades of city excursions into various forms of art, dance, music and the like will be on display for the next three weeks, beginning Friday, at Old Town Hall, 3999 University Drive. It's the 32nd Annual Fairfax Spotlight on the Arts, and it runs through May 9.

Sponsored by the city in conjunction with George Mason University and the city's arts community, the festival will feature music of various forms and by various artists, quality arts exhibitions, dance (both classical and modern), theatrical performances and much more.

Aside from public enjoyment, another aim of the festival is to raise funds for the Spotlight on the Arts Scholarships for area arts students to attend GMU.
