Stabbing Victim Remains In Hospital; Fairfax City Police Seek Suspect

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — City of Fairfax Police detectives are investigating a stabbing that occurred Christmas Eve in the 9800 block of Fairfax Boulevard, according to a 5:50 p.m. post on the department's X/Twitter account.

As of 10 a.m. on Tuesday, the victim was in stable condition at a nearby hospital, according to a police spokesman. No other details were available.

After the stabbing on Saturday night, the suspect fled the area on foot, according to police. With the help of the Fairfax County Police Helicopter and a K9 officer, city police searched the area on Saturday night, but the suspect was not located. Police described the suspect as standing 5-foot-5 and wearing a camouflage or dark jacket.
