Suspect In 2 Malicious Wounding Incidents In Fairfax City Arrested
City of Fairfax Police arrested a man they say maliciously wounded people at a local convenience store and Draper Drive Park.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — City of Fairfax Police arrested 26-year-old Maldin “Byron” Anibal-Guzman of no fixed address on Friday in connection with two malicious wounding incidents int he city, according to a release.
Officers responded around 2:45 p.m., on March 11 to the 7-Eleven located at 10140 Fairfax Blvd. for the report of a malicious wounding. Police determined that a during an argument Anibal-Guzman assaulted the victim with a knife, injuring the victim on their head, neck and hands. The victim was taken to Fairfax Hospital where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to the release.
Through their investigation, police determined that Anibal-Guzman was involved in an attempted malicious wounding at Draper Drive Park on March 5. Police say that Anibal-Guzman assaulted the victim and an acquaintance with a knife, causing damage to the their clothing. No injuries were reported in this incident.

Police charged Anibal-Guzman with one count of malicious wounding by mob, one count of aggravated malicious wounding and two counts of attempted malicious wounding, according to the release. Anibal-Guzman remains in custody without bond.
