Taim Mediterranean Kitchen Hosts Thursday Fundraiser Ahead Of Friday Opening In Fairfax

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — On Friday, taim mediterranean kitchen will open its new Fairfax City location on Main Street in Fairfax City. The chain of fast casual eateries already boasts locations in Dupont Circle in D.C, College Park, Maryland; and Tysons.

On Thursday night, diners can get a first taste of taim's a preview fundraiser from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., to benefit the Capital Area Food Bank. Customers can enjoy $5 entrees and all of the proceeds will go to support CAFB's mission of providing equitable access to food and feed those who are struggling with hunger and food insecurity.

When taim opens its doors at 11 a.m. on Friday, the first 50 guests will receive a branded swag bag filled with various prizes.

“Since our early beginnings we have given our local communities the means to experience the many great flavors and dishes from the Mediterranean which we prepare from scratch daily using time-honored culinary techniques and the best ingredients,” said Phil Petrilli, DC-based owner of taim kitchen and Untamed Brands."

The new location of the taim mediterranean kitchen is in the Westfair Shopping Center at 11011 Main St., near the Fairfax Boulevard and Main Street intersection. The restaurant will be open every day from 11 a.m. to 10. p.m.

Customers visiting the new Fairfax City location will be able to sample all of taim's signature dishes, including:

• "The O.G. Falafel Pita: award-winning falafel in a warm, hummus-layered artisan pita, topped with tomato, cucumbers, pickled cabbage and tahini sauce.
• "The Chicken Shawarma Bowl is not only a signature item it’s also the most popular item on our menu. Seasoned with our classic shawarma blend of seven different spices, the chicken sits on a bed of rice and is topped with tomato, cucumber, pickled cabbage, feta cheese, pickles and tahini sauce.
