Temporary Road Closures Due To Old Town Hall Repairs

The repairs to Old Town Hall are nearly completed. On Nov. 12, Fairfax City will implement a temporary closure of University Drive in Old Town Fairfax to reinstall the 122-year-old building's columns.

From 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, University Drive will close between North and Main streets. Additionally, the sidewalk directly in front of Old Town Hall will be closed to pedestrians. A flagger will be stationed at the closure.

Expect delays in Old Town Fairfax during this time, and consider alternate routes.

After the columns are successfully reinstalled, contractors will remove the temporary supports currently in place. This should take about three days, after which the current lane closure in front of Old Town Hall will end.
