Government offices and courts will be closed Thursday and Friday; refuse schedule will be moved up.

FAIRFAX, VA — Here's the city schedule for government services during Thanksgiving week:

Monday, November 21

  • Monday and Tuesday refuse and recycling routes collected

Tuesday, November 22

  • Wednesday and Thursday refuse and recycling routes collected

Wednesday, November 23

  • Friday refuse and recycling routes are collected
  • General District Court closes at noon

Thursday, November 24

  • General District Court is closed
  • Fairfax Museum and Visitor Center is closed
  • Civil War Interpretive Center at Historic Blenheim is closed
  • CUE Bus — no service
  • Refuse and recycling are not collected; Thursday route is collected on Wednesday,11/22

Friday, November 25

  • City government offices are closed
  • General District Court is closed
  • Fairfax Museum and Visitor Center is open
  • Civil War Interpretive Center at Historic Blenheim is open
  • CUE Bus — modified weekday service
  • Refuse and recycling are not collected; Friday route is collected on Wednesday,11/23
