Third Fatality In 2-Vehicle Crash On Braddock Road Reported By Police

ANNANDALE, VA — A Burke woman was the third person to die from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash Sunday at the intersection of Braddock Road and Bradfield Drive in Annandale.

On Wednesday, Fairfax County Police identified 63-year-old Yan Zhou as the third victim in Sunday's crash. The other two victims were 63-year-old Hong Tang of Fairfax and 72-year-old Yun Huof Annandale. .

Police responded around 9:42 a.m., on Sunday, to the scene of a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Braddock Road and Bradfield Drive.

Crash scene investigators determined that the driver of a 2006 Lexus RX330I tried to make a left turn from Bradfield Drive onto westbound Braddock Road and striking a 2024 BMW X6 that traveling eastbound on Braddock Road.

The two BMW occupants and the five occupants of the Lexus were all taken to the hospital to be treated for their injuries, according to police.

Zhou was pronounced deceased at the hospital on Sunday and Tang and Houf a day later. The other passengers were treated for their injuries and released, according to police.

This brings the total number of traffic fatalities this year in Fairfax County to four. At the same point in 2023, there were three traffic fatalities in the county.
