Texts Threaten To Leave Brother ‘Toothless,’ ‘Crippled’ In Fairfax: Police

After receiving threatening text messages from his brother, a Fairfax man became fed up and called police, leading to a bust.

FAIRFAX, VA — What would you do if you received a threatening text message from someone you knew? Then another. And another. Well, a guy finally had enough early Tuesday night in the 41oo block of Rust Road, according to Fairfax Police. Simply put, he called the cops — on his brother, no less.

Around 5:30 p.m., he contacted police and told them his brother kept on sending him threatening text messages. Among the messages the victim received, according to Fairfax Police Sgt. Shawn Sutherland: "I will leave you with broken bones and make you crippled and make you really want to kill yourself." And this: "Let me see you and I will leave you toothless."

An investigation persuaded police to obtain a warrant. Thus was Stavros Pehlivanidis, 32, of the 4100 block of Rust Road, arrested and charged with threatening harm through text messages.
