FAIRFAX, VA — Here's the holiday refuse and recycling schedule for key junctures in the holiday season, as provided by the city:

2016 Christmas Refuse and Recyclables Collection Schedule
Monday, 12/26/16 — No collection
Tuesday, 12/27/16 — Monday and Tuesday routes collected

2017 New Year’s Day Refuse and Recyclables Collection Schedule
Monday, 1/2/2017 — No collection
Tuesday, 1/3/2017 — Monday and Tuesday routes collected

Please be aware: collecting multiple days' worth of debris on a single day may cause atypical delays in collection, and occasionally brush collection may occur over a period of days (depending on weather and season).

The City of Fairfax does not collect debris (refuse, recycling, yard waste, etc.) on holidays observed by the city. For information, call 703-385-7837.
