Two Officers Assaulted During Fairfax Arrest: Police

A man is being held without bond for injuring two officers after he was caught trying to pass a phony check at a bank: Fairfax Police

FAIRFAX, VA — A man is being held without bond for injuring two arresting officers after he was caught trying to pass a phone check Saturday afternoon inside the Navy Federal Credit Union at 11180 Lee Highway, according to Fairfax Police. Stephen Allen Booker, 22 of the 5200 block of Afton Overlook in Richmond, was charged with two felony counts of assault on a police officer, forging a check, uttering, resisting arrest and credit card fraud.

Around 1 p.m., employees reported that a man had tried to pass a bad check. Responding officers watch him leave the bank and then arrested him, but not before he resisted and assaulted the cops, leaving them with minor injuries. Larceny Arrest

9602 Main Street – On September 15 at 8:52 AM a citizen reported a male subject had been attempting to manipulate locks on bicycles and had dropped a handsaw while leaving the scene on foot. The suspect was apprehended in the area. Following investigation by the Field Operations Division, Leon Urrutia Diaz, 38, of no fixed address, was transported to the Adult Detention Center where he was charged with destruction of property, petit larceny, possession of burglarious tools and drunk in public. His bond was set at $5000.

Trespassing Arrest

10350 Willard Way / Safeway – On September 16 at 9:42 AM officers responding to a report of a solicitor on the premises determined that the female subject had previously been issued a trespass notice for the property. Jennifer Susan Knight, 52, of no fixed address, was transported to the Adult Detention Center where she was charged with trespassing and released on signature.
