University Drive Lanes Closed Monday Night for Construction

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — Both lanes of southbound University Drive will be closed Monday from 8 p.m.-5 a.m. for construction work.

Two-way traffic will be maintained in the northbound lanes, and one lane will be open to traffic in each direction.

A lane shift will be set up for eastbound Main Street traffic to go around the workzone. Chain Bridge Rd is an alternate north-south route through downtown Fairfax to avoid the work zone. Too, North Street can be used as an east-west alternate route.
