Unruly Naked Guy Assaults K-9 Dog In Manassas: Police

MANASSAS, VA—A police dog was assaulted by an unruly naked man Thursday in the 8200 block of Vernon Street, according to Prince William County Police. Lawrence Allen Ewell, 30, of the 9800 block of Buckner Road in Manassas, was charged with assault & battery on a K-9, indecent exposure, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and public intoxication.

Shortly after 10 p.m., police arrived at the scene after receiving a report of a naked man apparently vandalizing vehicles. When they approached him, police believed him to be under the influence of narcotics. When they confronted him, he ignored their commands.

That's when police attempted to use a K-9 dog to subdue him. But the man initially fought off the canine, hitting it several times. He finally was arrested and taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
